Sleazy (and the other 6 Dwarfs)

In class today, someone volunteered the name of one Dwarf as “Sleazy” instead of “Sneezy”. (Feel free to remind me who you are!) Error created a real word.

Both “Sn” and “Sl” are phonotactically legal onsets. [l] and [n] are both alveolar consonants, and they differ only in nasalization.
Also possibly facilitated by the fact that one of the Dwarfs’ names started with “Sl” - “Sleepy” -making it a mixed neighbor.

The Lord is a Shoving Leopard.

Instead of “The Lord is a Loving Shepard.” Classic Spoonerism. Onset exchange error. On adjacent words.

I’m afraid of falling asheep in the slougher.

Phoneme-exchange error, between two vowels, following alveolar consonants. Real words created, “a sheep”. - AR
